A man died on Saturday following a motorcycle crash in Johnston County.

The State Highway Patrol (SHP) Russell Barefoot was riding on Godwin Lake Road in Benson when he crossed the centerline, ran off the road and was thrown from his motorcycle.

Investigators suspect that alcohol may have contributed to the crash, the SHP said.
