Man dies after motorcycle collided with bus in Caseyville

A 34- year old man died after the motorcycle he was driving collided with a bus in Caseyville on Oct. 10. The deceased man, Jeremy Chinchilla, was identified by St. Clair County Coroner Calvin Dye Sr.

A 34- year old man died after the motorcycle he was driving collided with a bus in Caseyville on Oct. 10.

The deceased man, Jeremy Chinchilla, was identified by St. Clair County Coroner Calvin Dye Sr. Chinchilla’s last known address was in the 800 block of Pine in East Alton.

He was pronounced dead in the emergency room at Memorial Hospital in Belleville at 4:25 p.m., Dye said.

Illinois State Police is assisting in the investigation of the crash, but referred questions about the crash back to the Caseyville Police Department. Caseyville police have not responded to requests for information.

According to an obituary, Chinchilla was a tattoo artist and motorcycle enthusiast. He had two sons who “he loved more than anything,” the obituary said.

A funeral will be held Saturday.
